Greetings Summit Family,
This is Jessica Vana with a quick update on our trip so far. Today is our first day of work on the new building. We started out the day with a group devotional time. We discussed the things we were most excited about and the individual areas where we felt God may be growing us on this trip. We broke up into groups of two or three and prayed for one another. It is amazing to see, already, how God is moving during this time of ministry.
I´ll quickly share one personal highlight. The woman Phil and I are staying with, Vilma, is the mother of three daughters. Two of the girls are in the States and one, Stephania is here with us. Vilma´s husband drowned in the ocean a few years ago. (He died saving her from a rip tide) It is so interesting (and like God) that Phil and I were put with a family dealing with loss. They are gracious and kind hosts, and Phil and I are eager to be a blessing to them as well.
Our team is doing well. Shannon has been out of commission this morning due to a flu. Please pray for quick recovery for her as she has not felt well for two days.
The building project is off to a good start. We are cleaning up the job site and finishing the excavation of the footers. We are building forms and getting ready to pour cement. We will work through the rest of the day and hope to spend the evening building relationship with our new Chilean friends.
Blessings To All,
Jessica

Phil, Jess and the Team:
It is a blessing to see how God is already working in your lives and the lives of your host families. We will continue praying for spritual blessings and success in building the church. Wish I was there! Pops
Hey Kids,
Keep up the good work. Phil don't eat too much. Remember India? We are very proud of you and the team. Thanks for keeping us up to date. The pictures make us feel like we are seeing what you all see.
Love Dad & Alynn
